A University of London Programme - Administered by the London School of Economics

The International School of Economics and Social Sciences is a joint programme founded in 2005 and developed in collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). LSE is the lead college for the University of London's External Programme in Economics, Social and Political Sciences and is ranked number 2 in the world in its field (Times Survey, 2005). Many world leaders in politics, industry and finance have studied at LSE, which also plays a major role in UK policy-making through advising the government by serving on Royal Commissions, public bodies and government inquiries. 13 Nobel Prize recipients have either been LSE students or faculty.

The LSE sends academic advisors to KBTU on teaching visits to increase the programme's global perspective, augment courses and conduct quality monitoring, as well as to oversee the ISE Academic Committee.

Professors at the ISE are responsible for reporting to this committee on teaching, research and curriculum issues. Project Director Amos Witztum and Project Advisor Martin Anthony are intensively involved in forming the academic experience at ISE and guaranteeing quality. When you enroll in the ISE, you are truly taking part in a programme guaranteed to adhere to international educational standards.

Graduates of this programme may earn one of three international degrees: a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking & Finance, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of London along with a diploma awarded by KBTU and ISE that is recognised by the Ministry of Education and Science in Kazakhstan.
